Immunization Week: A Platform for Future Epidemiologists
As part of the European Immunization Week, students of S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University visited the National Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Expertise and Monitoring.
The purpose of the visit was to enhance students’ knowledge in the field of infectious disease prevention, strengthen practical skills, and develop professional interest in epidemiology and public health.
During the visit, students attended a lecture delivered by an outstanding scientist, a distinguished figure in national epidemiology and microbiology, who has made a significant contribution to the development of the sanitary and epidemiological service — Boris Volfovich Karalnik. The lecture focused on актуal issues of infectious pathology, as well as modern approaches to prevention and protection of the population from infectious diseases.
Special attention was given to vaccination, epidemiological surveillance, and the role of public health professionals in ensuring sanitary and epidemiological well-being.
The event allowed students to deepen their theoretical knowledge, become familiar with the practical activities of a профиль institution, and gain valuable experience in professional communication with leading experts in epidemiology.
