I Interregional Olympiad with international participation “PharmRoute: from Molecule to Medicine – the Code of Health”
On October 31, 2025, the I Interregional Olympiad with international participation “PharmRoute: from Molecule to Medicine – the Code of Health” was held at the St. Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical University (Russian Federation). The competition brought together students from leading pharmaceutical universities of the CIS countries.
The team of the School of Pharmacy of Asfendiyarov KazNMU represented the university with dignity, demonstrating a high level of professional training, creativity, and competence in the field of pharmacy. As a result of the Olympiad, the team won 1st place in the honorary nomination “Best PharmExpert” and 3rd place in the team ranking.
Team members:
- Azhар Musaeva, 5th-year student (Group FA21-004r, EP “Pharmacy”, GPA 3.35) – an active participant in student research work, showing a high level of responsibility and initiative.
- Kamilla Kulametova, 5th-year student (Group FA21-004r, EP “Pharmacy”, GPA 3.21) – awarded the Laureate Diploma for a high level of professional competence and an innovative approach to solving competitive tasks.
- Zhansaya Asilkhan Yermekkyzy, 4th-year student (Group FA22-03r, EP “Pharmacy”, GPA 3.0) – demonstrated analytical thinking and a keen interest in pharmaceutical research.
The students’ achievements are the result of systematic preparation, a high level of knowledge, and a desire for professional excellence. The victory in the “Best PharmExpert” nomination highlighted the practice-oriented nature of the educational process and the readiness of KazNMU students to address current challenges in the pharmaceutical industry.
At the university, special attention is given to the development of student research activities (SRA), which play a vital role in professional training. Participation in Olympiads helps students develop analytical thinking, an innovative mindset, and professional competencies.
The team’s preparation was supervised by the Dean’s Office of the School of Pharmacy — Dean Z.B. Sakipova, Head of the Department of Organization, Management and Economics of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy K.S. Zhakipbekov, Head of the School’s SRA N.A. Rakhymbaev, and mentors: Head of the Educational Program “Pharmacy” M.I. Tleubaeva, and trainers K.T. Raganina and V.S. An.
The team’s achievement became a significant milestone for the School of Pharmacy, confirming the university’s strategic commitment to developing student science, encouraging active participation in academic competitions, and fostering highly qualified and competitive specialists for the pharmaceutical sector.
