Motivational lecture by the Ahmetsadikov N.N., Managing Director of Antigen Scientific and Production Enterprise LLP, Professor: «Antigen Scientific and Production Enterprise: Science, Technological Solutions and Commercialisation of Production»
On 23 April 2026 at 14:00, a motivational lecture will be given by the CEO and founder of Antigen Scientific and Production Enterprise LLP, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor Nurlan Nuroldinovich Akhmetadykov.
In 1998, Antigen Scientific and Production Enterprise LLP was established in the village of Abai, Raimbek Rural District, and on 29 April 2014, it was accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan as a scientific organisation. The first industrial batches of the Kazakhstani vaccine QazVac (approximately 1 million doses) were produced at Antigen Scientific and Production Enterprise LLP during the coronavirus pandemic.
N.N. Akhmetzadykov was one of the first in Kazakhstan to begin implementing GMP standards in the production of immunobiological preparations and succeeded in modernising the research and production process at Antigen Scientific and Production Enterprise in accordance with the requirements of the European GMP Accreditation Bureau. In 2017, Nurlan Nuroldinovich actively participated in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Programme, and since 2018 has been collaborating with the European GMP Accreditation Centre, USKVBL, Brno (Czech Republic).
As a result of the scientific research conducted, 96 intellectual property documents have been obtained, including 13 patents of the Republic of Kazakhstan and 83 preliminary and innovative patents of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2022, NPP Antigen LLP was awarded the ‘Altyn Sapa’ Presidential Prize in recognition of its innovative developments and the implementation of new technologies. The company has become a leading enterprise in Kazakhstan and Central Asia in the production of veterinary and immunobiological preparations, diagnostic test systems and medical devices, and, in essence, a flagship of domestic science. The company’s annual production volume of preventive preparations stands at 50–70 million doses, and that of diagnostic tests at 30–50 million doses.
The company’s research and development facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for carrying out various tasks in the fields of veterinary medicine, biology, chemistry and food safety. Every year, undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakh National Agrarian University, S. Seifullin Kazakh Agricultural Technical University and the Agricultural Technical University carry out their research placements here.
The company’s staff actively participate in research projects funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC ‘Science Fund’, as well as by foreign foundations.
